Effective January 30, 2023, Principal Investigators submitting new and renewal proposals to NSF will need to take an additional step to safeguard individuals when engaging in off campus research.
SPA announced this requirement in December on our webpage and in the January 3, 2023 NIU Official Announcements.
The new requirement states that each proposal to conduct research off-campus or off-site must have a plan in place for a safe and inclusive work environment and that the plan be distributed to everyone who will participate in the off-campus or off-site research prior to departure.
